Fees for the Taekwondo classes must be paid no later than the first day of each month. Payment is only done monthly.
Members applying for KidSport funding or other financial assistance programs remain responsible for paying their monthly fees until the club has officially received the funds from KidSport or the financial assistance program. If the assistance covers only a portion of the fees, the member (or parent/guardian) is responsible for paying the remaining balance. All payments must be kept up to date to be able to attend our programs.
Refunds are not provided once a member has attended at least one class during the paid month, and all monthly fees must be kept current to maintain enrollment. Failure to pay fees will result in removal from classes and forfeiture of the reserved spot, as class spaces are limited and cannot be held without payment.
Refunds are also not provided for missed classes. It is the responsibility of the client to attend their respective classes.
Members who wish to discontinue their participation must provide written notice to the club at least one month in advance by email at tkd.oussoud@gmail.com. For example, if a member plans to stop training in June (ie. travel or decides to stop), they are required to pay the fees for May and email their notice during that month. Once a member discontinues, their spot will not be guaranteed due to limited availability. If they wish to return, they are welcomed to re-register.
Students must come to every class with their Taekwondo uniforms, fingernails and toenails neatly trimmed to ensure safety, and a water bottle.
Students are expected to respect their scheduled class time and must attend the class for which they are registered. In the event of a missed class, the student or parent/guardian must contact the club to request a make‑up session.
Students who are Yellow/Green Belt and above must come to class with all their equipment.
The recording, photographing, or filming of any club members, athletes (especially minors) or staff is strictly prohibited without prior permission from the club administration. Permission must be obtained in advance for all classes, events, or activities, and may only be granted under specific conditions determined by the club.
For the women’s class, photography and videography are strictly prohibited at all times, without exception. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include suspension or permanent removal from the club.
All members are required to demonstrate respect at all times—toward instructors, fellow students and visitors. This includes courteous language, disciplined behavior, and adherence to class etiquette. Any act of disrespect, whether verbal, physical, or online, will be treated as a serious violation of club standards and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or permanent removal from club.
The club maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, threats, bullying, or any form of abusive behavior. Such actions are considered severe violations of our standards and will result in immediate and permanent removal from the club, without refund.
Any member, parent, or affiliate who engages in actions intended to damage, defame, or misrepresent the club—including negative conduct in person, online, or through social media—will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Such actions may result in suspension or permanent removal from our programs, at the sole discretion of club leadership.
The club reserves the full right to suspend or permanently remove any member whose behavior is deemed inappropriate, disrespectful, unsafe, or in violation of club policies. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of misconduct, harassment, disruption of the training environment or failure to meet financial obligations such as timely payment of fees. Decisions regarding disciplinary action are at the sole discretion of the club’s leadership and are final
When a parent registers to a program that contains activities outside, such as our camps, they consent to their children participating in activities held outside (such as parks, etc..). Only specific field trips will require parents to sign a form to consent their child’s participation.
Taekwondo Oussoud reserves the right to contact emergency medical services, including calling an ambulance, if deemed necessary for the safety and well‑being of a student. All associated costs and fees for such services are the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Starting at the Yellow/Green Belt level, all students are required to obtain and use approved Taekwondo protective equipment during training and examinations. The cost of this equipment is the responsibility of the parent or guardian and is not included in monthly fees. Students must have their equipment ready and in proper condition to ensure safety and compliance with club standards.
Participation in belt examinations is mandatory for all students as part of their Taekwondo progression. Examination fees are separate from monthly fees and must be paid in full prior to testing. Students are not permitted to participate in belt examinations if their monthly fees are unpaid, even in cases where the examination fees have been paid. All financial obligations must be fully up to date in order to qualify for testing.
Belt promotions are determined solely by the instructors based on skill, discipline, attendance, and readiness; parents or guardians do not have authority to decide or influence belt advancement.
In the event that a student fails the exam, the examination can only be retaken once (free of charge). However, if the student fails a second time and more, they will need to wait for the next exam and the examination fees will not be refunded.
